I've seen pedestal birdhouses all over the place, but I first saw them over at the Speckled Dog. I've made several so I thought I would show you how to make your own.
I purchased the supplies at Michael's.
I gave them a coat of paint.
Then I sanded them a bit and added some stain to darken them up a bit.
Use a little wood glue to attach all the pieces together and let it sit over night.
Then it's ready for display.
I ended up making a few others too.
I put them above my kitchen cupboards. I love the pop of color they add.
