A Little Television... GLEE

by Erin S.

Huge, huge, HUGE Glee Scoop!  As many of you might already know, Joss Whedon (TV GENIUS!)  is guest directing an episode of Glee some time next season, and as if this news isn't enough, it's about to get a whole lot better!

Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly is reporting that musical darling and star of CBS's How I Met Your Mother, Neil Patrick Harris is in serious talks with the creators of the show to guest star in the episode that Joss Whedon will be directing.  It seems Mr. Whedon and Mr. Harris are anxious to recreate the brilliant magic they made with Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog,  NPH himself told Ausiello at the Golden Globes that the only thing keeping it from being a done deal is CBS, who has to give their star permission to stray to Fox Network.  So cross those fingers, because how awesome would this be!  I mean picture it! Or if you can't, watch this!

NPH is just the beginning, other rumored guest stars on the upcoming glee season include Jennifer Lopez (possibly as a lunch lady!), Idena Menzel of Wicked fame (it's confirmed that she'll be playing the coach of Vocal Adrenaline), Olivia Newton John (She'll be performing "Let's Get Physical" with Jane Lynch/Sue Sylvester!), and maybe even Madonna herself!  I'll keep you apprised if I hear anything more!

Don't let me gLeek out alone!  What do you think of all this guest star news?  Who would you like to see guest star on Glee?  Comment below!

Ok, I am a total Gleek.

I also heard that Indina Menzel, in addition to being the coach of vocal adrenaline, is also going to turn out to be Rachel's biological mother! How perfect is that???

I'm almost embarrassed by how much I love this show:)

There is a possibility that Idena could end up being Rachel's mom, but unfortunately, the prospects don't currently look good. Ryan Murphy has said, "I don't think I'll do that. We wrote [Idina's part as a sort of Faye Dunaway of Network. She's the female coach of Vocal Adrenaline. That's what she plays." So... not completely ruled out, but not possible (info thanks to ausiello (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/01/21/ask-ausiello-spoilers-lost-glee-bones/)).
