A Little Giveaway... You are a Handful!
Alright Ladies, let's talk sports bras. Was that a groan? Now, just hear me out. just imagine, no more uni-boob (totally a real phrase), no more flatter-than-a-pancake, and no more unsightly ummm, undesired, ummm, protrusions under your tee shirt. Allow me to introduce you to HANDFUL Bras. Their slogan, "You're active. You're versatile. You're one of a kind. You're a handful." Amen.
"Designed to flatter not flatten," Handful bras are not only super functional but super cute. They were so kind as to send me one to review. After trying it on I said to my husband, and I quote, "Babe, check out my cute sports bra." He replied with a snicker, and I quote, "No such thing." Then he turned around to see me showing of my new Handful and he said the following: "huh, cute."
Mine looks like this:
Here is my dear friend Leslie modeling her Handful ( I seriously love the name). You can find Leslie at her blog: Triathlon Mom. You may notice that Leslie is ridiculously ripped. Don't feel bad, she's an Ironman Triathlete. Hence, I asked if I could use photos of her rather than of my had-a-baby-five-months-ago self. Not that I'm afraid... ok, so I'm afraid.
Do you just love the gather in the front and the cris-cross straps in the back. I just wish they would make fitness swim suits. I would so sport that swimming laps, training for my next race.
So what makes Handful Bras better than your average sports bra? So glad you asked. Besides being super cute they are amazingly flattering thanks to the ingenius removable pads.
They aren't bulky your annoying. They offer just the right amount of coverage to ensure that you are not a human temperature gauge. "The Handful bra provides shape, lift and coverage for active women of all shapes, sizes and ages. It contours and conceals breast rather than squish them down."
Ok, so now that you totally want one! The best news yet... You could win one! Here are the contest rules:

A Little Giveaway for Mother's Day... Piano Portraits Lullaby CD
Need a Great Mother's Day Gift? Want a Great Mother's Day Gift?
Uber-talented Michael Hicks has graciously offered to gift one lucky "A Little Great" reader a Piano Portraits Lullabies CD! Mike has worked with other piano celebrities Jon Schmidt, Paul Cardall, and David Tolk to produce this unique lullaby album. Mike's wife (who happens to be a dear friend of mine) urged Mike to collaborate with his buddies to write a contemporary piano lullaby album that she could enjoy for herself, and use to put her children down to sleep. What a beautiful idea, and what gorgeous music... not to mention a fantastic Mother's Day gift, or a unique and thoughtful baby gift. I love nothing more than beautiful piano music. These tracks will soothe and lift your spirits (and your children's too!)
Here's a little about Mike (from his website):
Michael R. Hicks has uplifted audiences all over the world - from the Middle East to California, from Calgary, Canada to Kenya, Africa. He has spoken on many topics and has performed with many artists. His music has won awards and many have performed his arrangements, from small church choirs to national country stars.
Michael's most recent CD is a compilation of original and traditional solo piano lullabies called Piano Portraits Lullabies featuring Jon Schmidt, Paul Cardall, David Tolk, and himself.
Even if you don't win, you still can get yourself this beautiful music! Mike's CD is available at Deseret Book, on itunes, and Amazon, and at local (Utah) baby boutique stores (Babinski's, Four & Twenty Sailors, Sundays Child, etc...)
Mike's beautiful music has been featured in our local news !
Listen to a sample of the beautiful lullaby music on this video:

To enter to win this fabulous Mother's Day gift, leave a comment below. The winner will be announced on Friday so you'll have time to get your gift before Mother's Day! Blog, tweet, facebook, follow, or become a fan for extra entries (make sure to leave an extra comment for each extra entry!)
Happy Mother's Day to all the Little Great Mom's.
XO!

A Little Giveaway... Kate Holland Design
I am honored to present to you:
Kate Holland.
Jewelry Queen.
Ridiculously Talented Person.
and one of my Best Friends!
(and the sponsor of this giveaway!!!)
She loves shoes. She hates sauces, and she collects children's books. She likes yoga, hiking, water skiing, boating, anything outside, and tries to like running. She loves movies, spending time with friends, and is always up for an international adventure (in fact, this girl has been just about everywhere) hates snakes and sharks. editor's sidenote: Kate is such a baby about snakes she could barely stand being in the house with my son's rubber snake. And even though she hates sharks, she and I have gone scuba diving of the Florida Keys together, and snorkeling in the Red Sea. Go figure!
Why Kate would make you want to puke with envy if you didn't know how lovable she is: This girl can do everything! A few of her hobbies/ jobs: custom framing, making furniture and reupholstering furniture, fine art (painting, drawing, murals for bedrooms, etc., photography), quilting, color and design consultation for home decor. Ridiculous, huh? Yep.
Kate has worked in the film industry for many years now as a costumer and production coordinator, associate producer, working on feature films, commercials and small projects for the sundance channel. She worked at the oscars, has met many big names in the movie business and many of them have bought her lovely jewelry.
Kate began making jewelry as a hobby, and then moved to LA for a film and next thing you know, Cameron Diaz wore her necklace to the Oscars in 2003 (that is a Kate original in the photo below).
Seriously? Seriously. Some celebrities that have worn Kate's necklaces on magazine covers include: Eliza Duschku, Jennifer Garner, Heather Graham, and Cristina Applegate.
Her necklaces have been seen on Everwood, Tru Calling, Josh & Drake, Army Wives, and High School Musical 2.
Kate has been featured in Fred Siegel and a handful of small galleries in California, Salt Lake City, and Park City, UT. Most of her jewelry is unique and one of a kind, hand cut precious and semi precious stones on solid sterling silver and solid 14 and 18 carat gold. Right now her beauties are available online, but she also has shows and boutiques if you get on her mailing list.
Kate gave us a darling necklace for this giveaway.
This necklace retails at $100 and is made from pure 14 carat gold and solid sterling silver. I love how it is simple and small enough to wear everyday, with everything, and since it is gold AND silver, will really match everything in your wardrobe!!!
To enter to win Kate's beautiful necklace:
4. Check back next Tuesday to see if you are our lucky winner (chosen randomly).

A Little Giveaway... Ally Brynn Designs
Thanks for enter to win, this giveaway is now closed!
This could be yours:
This could be yours:
Ally Brynn Designs is giving away this adorable piece to one lucky winner.
Each Ally Brynn Design is made with a combination of paint and paper and is a handmade original piece of art. The pieces are provided on a stretched canvas over a wood frame. After completion, the artwork is sprayed with a clear coating which seals the work but will not prevent it from damage from liquid or other substances. Each piece should be handled with care. Because each design is made by hand, customization is possible and is encouraged. Contact Ally Brynn with ideas and she is happy to make something unique and special for your little ones.
Ally does lots of great custom work. Look at this and this (I dare you not to get a little weepy). Or you can get something just for fun too!

A Little GIVEAWAY... The Vintage Pearl
I am SO excited about this giveaway!!!
Erin, of The Vintage Pearl, has graciously offered to give one of our lucky readers a $50 gift certificate to her beautiful, personal, unique, handmade store of treasures. I have been salivating over Erin's creations for months and months now. In complete and utter honesty, the hardest thing for me about The Vintage Pearl, is that I CANNOT decide what I love the most. So many of her creations are so beautiful and make me so happy. I am still deciding what I want... I plan to wear whichever creation I finally pick close to my heart because I will have my children's names stamped on it. So meaningful, and so gorgeous!
A little background on the talented Erin:
"Basically I'm just a stay at home mom of 4 kids that needed an outlet while raising our kids. I started playing around with making jewelry after my first daughter was born (who is now 5) and I just loved it! I've self taught different techniques and hand stamping and soldering are my favorites. God has blessed this business more than I ever dreamed! I have friends that help me now and I love getting to make treasures for other Moms to cherish!"
Thank you so much Erin! We love your work.
To enter our RAWKIN' giveaway:
1. Browse The Vintage Pearl's Shop
2. Leave a comment and tell us what is your absolute favorite! (Good luck, it is hard to do with so much great stuff!)

A Little Tip... Taking Great Photos
by Guest Contributor... Emilie (of Photo by Emilie)
{Emilie is an amazing lifestyle photographer based in SLC (also available in Southern Utah sometimes). She is so generously giving away a free mini session! She also teaches photography workshops. Here is a little tip on lighting...}
One of my favorite topics during my workshop is lighting. I teach you how I look at light, how I determine where I will place my subject according to my available light. Then how I enhance my available light to get warm gorgeous soft light on my subject.
One trick to creating a great photo with warm light is knowing how to use Fill Light to eliminate shadow & illuminate eyes. In this photo I used a reflector. I placed the reflector at his waist & pointed it up into his face, this eliminated the shadow cased by his cap illuminated his eyes.
One of my favorite photography tools is my reflector. I use the 32" Soft Gold/White.
For more information on Emilie's workshop & workbooks visit http://photobyemilieimprove. blogspot.com/

One of my favorite photography tools is my reflector. I use the 32" Soft Gold/White.

A LITTLE GIVEAWAY... Creairtive
Introducing... Senja of Creairtive
I became acquainted with Senja online through some mutual friends a couple years ago, and this girl's personality just about jumped through the keyboard at me! She is just a darling. I get to meet her in person in a few months as she is coming to visit the US of A, and I can't wait! That's right, Senja currently lives on the beautiful southwest coast of Sweden with her husband, Mikael. Between the two of them, they share 3 nationalities (Swedish, Finnish and German) and five languages (English, German, Finnish, Swedish, Russian). How about that? Pretty impressive. Senja lives about 10 minutes away from the beach by car. She loves where she lives (and I am jealous!) Shipping her beautiful creations all over the world is a piece of cake!
Here are a few tidbits about Senja and her lovely jewelry, (by Senja of course!):
Not only are her designs beautiful and versatile, she is a talented and kind person that I can't wait to meet! She has graciously offered to be a giveaway contributor on a little great. We couldn't be more pleased (nor could you, I would venture!) I especially love how you can wear her creations with formal or casual outfits alike. Perfect!
So here's the coolest part... the lucky giveaway winner gets to pick whatever they want to win! Thank you Senja! Very, very cool.

"I love bright, happy colors and warm shapes. Being creative has always been important to me and making jewelry has become my new passion.
By day I work as a project manager in a big travel agency and on the evenings, I design jewelry on the couch! :)
This is my first pair of earrings and it all started because I had lost my favourite pair of black wood bead earrings and couldn't find the same ones anymore. So I went to the craft store and tried to create my own pair. Along the way, seeing all the different kinds of beads, ear hooks, and metals inspired me. I got compliments from others and the more earrings I made, the more I wanted to share them! I like to make jewelry for all kinds of styles that one can wear everyday, and with everything."
